Your voice matters, Lakin!

The Western Kansas Community Foundation is bringing back its Our Community, Our Future initiative for a third and final year, and we invite all Lakin residents to take part.

This is your opportunity to share what matters most to you and help shape the future of our community. Through a short survey, your input helps identify local priorities, spark meaningful conversations, and guide funding toward projects that make a real difference.

Over the past two years, more than 1,100 responses were collected across participating communities, resulting in $30,000 in grant funding for each location. In Lakin, that feedback supported Sidewalk Solutions projects in both 2024 and 2025, improving accessibility and safety for our residents.

If you have participated before, thank you for helping move our community forward. We encourage you to take the survey again and continue that momentum. If this is your first time, we would love to hear from you. Every voice makes an impact.

This is more than a survey. It is a chance to be part of something meaningful and to help guide real investment in Lakin. The more participation we have, the stronger and more representative the results will be. Residents of high school age and older are encouraged to complete the survey.

Additional information, including past survey results, is available through the foundation. We also encourage you to stay engaged and join the community forums this fall when results are shared.

Surveys close June 15. Take a few minutes to share your voice and be part of Lakin’s future.

Together, we can continue building a strong, connected, and thriving community.

¡Tu voz importa, Lakin!
