The K-25 Main Street Project (Santa Fe Ave → Washington Ave) is already in the works! This pavement restoration project received funding through KDOT’s City Connecting Link Improvement Program (CCLIP) and the Bipartisan Infrastructure Legislation.

👷‍♂️ What’s happening now?

The project is on hold while we wait for approvals from KDOT and BNSF. The railroad can’t issue permits until a contractor is named, and the state can’t assign a contractor until permits are finalized.

✅ What this means for Lakin:

Safer, stronger roads and investment directly into our community’s future.
