Our Community, Our Future: Lakin Community Forum

Lakin residents are invited to come out and be part of the “Our Community, Our Future” Community Forum hosted by the Western Kansas Community Foundation on Thursday, September 10, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Veterans Memorial Building.

This is a chance for our community to sit down together and talk about Lakin. What challenges are we facing? What needs could be better addressed? What would we like to see happen in our community moving forward? Most importantly, it gives the people who live here an opportunity to have a voice in those conversations.

And there’s a pretty great opportunity tied to it!

WKCF is offering a $10,000 grant to Lakin to help fund a project that addresses a need identified through the community surveys and conversations held during the forum. So the input received from our residents really could help determine where those dollars can make a difference in our community.

A free meal will be provided, and everyone is encouraged to attend. Bring your family, grab a friend or neighbor, and come share your thoughts and ideas!
