Duties include maintenance in the Electric Distribution and Electric Generation departments. Daily duties

include maintenance of existing distribution lines, general maintenance and repair of diesel engines,

recording meter data, and various duties associated with the operation of the municipal power plant. Some

tasks involve work with high voltage equipment and power tools. Applicants must have the ability to lift in

excess of 50 pounds, work at elevated heights, and be capable of working in all weather conditions.

Qualified applicants will have fundamental knowledge of: Electric principals, metering, generator

maintenance, diesel engine operation and maintenance are expected. Experience in related fields will be

considered, with an emphasis on mechanical aptitude and basic math skills.

KS Drivers License is required. Candidates are required to hold a high school diploma or equivalent.
